- As in the cost of long distance calls dropping ~50% after the
- breakup of the AT&T monopoly, the new telecom bill will do the
- same for local phone service (which is even more important,
- since it is practically ESSENTIAL to our lives these days,
- where Long distance is not) by breaking up the evil bell
- monopolies. Where do they get off charging $30/month anyway
- just for us to use networks already in place for the past 30
- years?!@
